Protection for Yachts and Power Cruisers

Protection for yachts, motor cruisers, ferries and commercial vessels. The BlueRay Manta™ system monitors bilges, batteries, shore power and boat security delivering alarm messages directly to multiple mobile phones for immediate action.

Alarms

The BlueRay Marine Manta system all include 5 independent alarm zones and 3 warning zones. The warning circuits are described below.

The 5 alarm zones are surge protected resistive loop circuits designed to operate with normally open and normally closed sensors. These can be passive sensors such as; heavy duty reed switches, floor pressure mats and proximity switches to protect hatches, doors, walkways and dinghies. , The system also supports active sensors such as dual technology motion detectors, floor pressure detectors and beam sensors to protect larger cabin spaces, deck areas and outdoor walkways.

Multiple sensors may be fitted to each alarm zone enabling larger vessels to be protected. Each sensor alarm may be custom named. See programming for more details.

Individual alarm circuits can be programmed to trip instantly or as a preset delay. Faulty sensors may also be remotely isolated while leaving the the remainder of the system operational.

Alarm zones can be wired to automatically turn on the cabin/deck lights when tripped. This is intended as a courtesy function for the owner boarding at night however it also serves to illuminate potential thieves.

Once an alarm is triggered the local siren is switched on and the alarm message sent to all listed mobile phones.

Bilge and Warnings

In addition to low and very low battery warnings the system is capable of monitoring 3 separate warning zones. These are surge protected level sensitive inputs and are designed to monitor bilges, smoke detectors or shore power connections.

Special functionality is included for warning inputs. The owner will receive periodic warnings that the alert is still current. Warning alerts do not trigger the alarm siren but do send alert messages to all mobile phones on the systems list (when the system is armed) .

Remote Control

The system may be disarmed remotely using a text message from one of the authorised mobile phones. BlueRay Manta Plus systems may also be remotely armed. The system, in addition to controlling the alarm siren and cabin/deck lights, can control other electrical devices. These include remotely turning on or off fridges, air-conditioning or heating.

Messages

Alarm and warning messages are sent directly to the chosen mobile phones. There is no requirement for a monitoring service and therefore no ongoing monitoring fees. All that the customer pays for is the text messages from the boat and any monthly SIM charges. (Customers with high mobile phone spend rates can negotiate additional SIM's bundled at no additional monthly charge.)

Alarm and warning messages are fully customisable using simple programming commands and are used to uniquely name each alarm circuit. Multiple language characters are supported. (Programming is performed using a mobile phone and text messages.)

~ Subject to mobile provider supplying standard cell information.

* BlueRay Manta system with standard wakeup periods. Note: GPS option, wakeup times and active sensors can increase power consumption. For lowest power consumption, non alarm wakeup periods can be set several hours apart. For immediate remote control the wakeup period can be set to always on.
