Mobilert - Man Over Board Systems

Protecting the lives of those in your care

MOBi-lert is a crew-monitoring system dedicated to preventing the loss of life at sea. It is designed to enable a quick rescue in a man-over-board (MOB) emergency.

At the heart of the system is a rechargeable and waterproof Personal Transmitter (PTX) that is worn by every person on board and maintains a constant link with your boat.

The instant one of your crew is in the water, an automatic alarm is sounded and the vessel's position is logged.

On the MObi-lert 7200 and 7600 systems, a graphic track-back screen immediately appears on the MOBi-lert Console to guide you back to the exact point where your crew member was lost. GPS is used to record the position of the MOB and provide track-back data for instant recovery.

Fully Automatic

Because MOBi-lert is an active system, anything that breaks the constant link between the PTX and the receiver on your boat will result in a MOB alarm. This means that if a PTX is broken in a fall or its low battery warnings are ignored, an alarm is raised. An instant alarm means an instant recovery is possible if the boat can be turned around quickly. Or, it takes time to get back to the lost crewperson, the exact point of the MOB incident is automatically captured - allowing all avialable crew to concentrate on turning the boat around.

Award winning innovation

Launched onto the market in late 2004, MOBi-lert is the first Australian product to receive the prestigous Safety at Sea Award at the 2005 Seatrade Awards. A finalist on the ABC TV's New Inventors Show, MOBi-lert has won numerous other awards both at home and overseas. Most Recently MOBi-lert won the Sport and Leisure category in the 2006 Australian Design Awards.
